skid steer blew out both lift arm seals I have now removed the arm and began the seal rebuild on the lift arm on the left side with the boom raised with the lock out in place on the right cylinder that is still on place. I finally did remember that I had to press the traction control button to make the hydraulics work.

Fish the piston back out and use a ring compressor to compress the yellow seal back onto the cylinder. The yellow seal will take its shape after a few minutes and the ring compressor can then be removed. Make sure the piston is dried before using the ring compressor. The easiest thing to check is holding the valve over the relief by lifting the arms all the way up and holding them there for 10 seconds. If one cylinder feels warm where the piston is, then that one is leaking. If neither feel warm, then you can cap the lines and test.fix it yourself & save that money !!2guys how2 I was going to try to twist the arms back by pulling the arms in the other direction with a chain and tractor. Hoping to bend it back in palce and then grind the welds back out and have them rewelded.
