The CAT dealer says the 259D3 will burn ~1.5gallon less per hour than the T66. It is also rated at 8.5mph in 2spd vs 10.2mph in the Bobcat which is a win for Bobcat in my opinion. Any feedback on these items or anything else would be greatly appreciated.
I moved this to the Cat forum where it's more likely to be seen by people familiar with this model. I like the Bobcat machine and pricing better than the CAT but the CAT dealer is so much better and will cost a little more. Here's my breakdown Bobcat Pros: Price, better financing, heavier capacity, cheaper parts Bobcat Cons: Local dealer sucks CAT Pros: quality machine, great local dealer CAT Cons: 0 more, higher financing rate I've heard from many people CAT filters are very high quality. I will stick with them. I'm going to do the 500HR service (PM2) once I get it home. Which I believe consists of, engine oil and filter change, then hyd, air, and fuel filter change. Should I stick with CAT engine oil or will Rotella, or others, work? I recently purchased a new 232D and 242D after owning other Cat skid steer models like the 216B.
