I have found a sk 820 that is an 06 model year with less than 250 hours I am looking for a good skid steer for use around the farm. The man bought the machine new but as the economy grew worse his work is down and he needs to sell it.

He claims it has no leaks and runs excellent. It also comes with a quick detach bucket. That works in an excavator. It does not work in skid steer. The result is anemic wheel torque and bucket breakout that was about 1/3 everyone elses. It is a great concept however if you work you machine hard you will not be happy with the performance. There are those that don't need a skid steer for that purpose. No answers are provided in the thread. The series 20 Komatsu is a 7,000 pound dozer. It is a nice small dress dozer but the controls may take some time to master. It, like the skid steer, should not be confused with earthmoving equipment. As someone mentioned, the torque figure tells far more about how a machine pushes than the HP rating.
