I was out looking on the forums and seen someone say Hydra-Mac made IH Skid Steers in the late 70s and early 80s, CaseIH bought the factory out and closed it down late 90's - 2000's. Hydra-Mac did build for Gehl though. then I also hear Gehl bought Hydra-Mac and IH Took excess of Hydra-Macs Inv. ihmadness or anyone else out there know where and how to drain the engine oil on that 4140 skid steer with the Chrysler 4 cylinder gas engine? I did buy a manual for servicing the skid steer, but we are in the middle of moving and all my books are packed away so far, it might be months before I can lay my hands on them. Thanks, DonO
I have never seen a hydra Mac or a 3200, but every other skid I have seen in the last 30 years ( with the exception of the Bobcat 310) has been set up with two traction pumps running in tandem, one for each side. Many, if not most, were built by Vickers. In all cases (mine, that is) the pumps have been SAE two-bolt flange and standard spline shaft. Sonny, you are correct Hydra Mac did make all 4000 & 4100 series loaders for IH.The 3200A, 3200B & 3300B were made at a diff. place I think in Wisconsin or Minn. and are non HYDRA MAC. It has proven to be a very good engine and commonly used world wide in Nissan and Renault small cars. You could have the only skid steer around with EFI, VVT and DOHC. This is not a joke, quiet as a mouse, vibration free engine and since there is no mechanical drive train in a skid-steer a hydraulic pump mounted on the front could supply power. IH SKID STEER. I recently obtained a 4136 IH skid steer, same machine as a Hydra-Mac 9C lll. Has the cutest little 2 cyl Isuzu diesel in it. Seems to run good and hydraulics and hydrostats all seem good, so far.

The Repower was not to bad of a job. Had to build a pedestal for the engine to mount on because of shaft location.
