The engine that came with this machine is a 2004 Isuzu, C 240 Diesel, which I've done a lot of work on, and now runs like a charm. I have managed to get some of the hydraulic lines installed in their proper locations, but still having some issues with that system. Not sure what year maybe early nineties, 1800# lift I think and a Isuzu diesel engine, what are the weakest points on these ugly things? Did some other company make them or were they on there own? It also has a two speed, it is up for bids from a local coop so if it was cheap enough could come in handy.
Isuzu is a good engine. Used a lot in excavators. Although older an 853 with 1800 hours, if it's accurate, would be worth a look. A lot less electronics to deal with than newer machines. Should be a bunch under 10K too. What ever you look at take someone experienced with you to check it out. Would be better off starting with a known good engine at the very least.
