You'd be nearly maxed out with it at 9,000 lbs. BTW, changing rear axle ratios should cost less than 0, maybe not from the dealership, but any honest shop.

Trailer breaks and everything is in good working order. I took a look at the hitch and for the life of me can not figure out the class.
If all you are doing is towing with this truck, go to a 6.4, or even better, a Cummins. If you are set on keeping this truck, and want to re-gear, go lower than the 4.10's. From everything I've read on this forum, and others, 4.10's are alright but lower gears are much better.

We have a 1½ ton mini digger and a 1-ton micro digger for hire in Chelmsford. Both diggers have adjustable tracks. Our micro digger will fit through a narrow access of 750mm with the adjustable tracks taken in and our mini digger will fit through a gap of about 1.1m with the tracks taken in.
