I am looking at a 1999 JCB 165 HF w/ cab/heat. Its in great shape 13k price, 550 hours, HF hydros running at 26GPM @2600psi. Looks to be a great machine. It lifts 1400lbs and is a little under 60" wide so I can use my current bucket. I do barn cleaning, snow removal, and fencing in my weekend skidsteer buisness and this skid fits alot of the bills. Ultimately we found there's really no place for a skid steer on our farm. But the consensus for all three of us is that if we were to get one, it will be a JCB/Volvo on tracks. We have 3 JCBs, but no skid steers. They have their place and when they function as planned, all is good. The electrical engineers at JCB must be electrical engineers that were fired from Jaguar for being Idiot's. I just bought a used JCB 260 wheeled skid steer. I love the side door and make it much safer to get in and out. I just got it last summer so I don't know much about repairs and how much stuff costs for it yet. I test Drove a JCB 165 Robot. stability, lift, reach and I even say visibility its the same as any other radius lift loader. Where it excels is getting in and out and getting out when the loader arm is up.

What went wrong? Despite its safety benefits however i still favour the conventional ones but that is just me though. Why are the regular ones better?
