Do you mean the drive unit? or the augers? You'll want a planetary auger drive unit so it will go in a 12 inch or bigger hole. Chain drives will run a long time, but you can't dig as deep. I like my Bobcat digger, very heavy built. It's a 15C model. As far as augers go, all mine are Pengo brand, and I love them.
