A local machine shop recommended a height extension that the platform hooked on top of and elevated it up a given number of feet and use it that way but I can't be the only one to ever need to be slightly higher than their skid steer will lift. Thinking of a skid steer roller compactor and wondering how they compare in performance with a small roller compactor like a Compac T40D a 9000 pound machine, 54 inch wide drum. What depth can the skid steer compactor actually compact sand? What compaction will a skid steer achieve in sand.
Skidsteer only work doesnt really work. You'll be directly competeing against daily rental rates and laidoff construction workers looking for cash. Also if you dont have a idea if this could work I doubt you'll find enuff work for a planned 1000 hour year. To be honest just about everyone can and does run a skid nowadays. Most backhoe attachments require different attachment points and kits between different makes. The universal plate on the front of the skid steer became a standard about 1995. The only other considerations are in the pump flow to drive the attachments . some need a high flow pump to run. . Example would be a stone hammer or large brush mower. .
